Why you should consider a Church Assessment to
recognize the risk of ministry!

Ministry has changed.

Neighborhoods may change, towns may change and the culture will change. The only thing that will not change is the word of God. Five years ago we were discussing youth mission trips, revival dates, church fellowships and Upward Basketball. Today we are discussing church embezzlement, same sex marriages, and transgender children in the youth program. Ministry has definitely changed.

As we consider the risk of ministry we must understand churches today incur as many risks as most businesses, such as product liability, religious expression, Directors & Officers liability.  Now Cyber liability exposure, media liability, transportation exposure and sexual misconduct liability are only a few of the myriad of risks facing church ministry. It is difficult to recognize when a lawsuit, fire, severe storm or a ‘black swan’ disaster will occur. That is why it is imperative to have the various ministries of the church, your policy and procedures processes, volunteer manuals, back-ground investigative policies and the way you operate your overall ministry, including church vehicles and properties, evaluated by securing a professional on-site Church Assessment of all programs and locations including current insurance coverages. Safety and security of ministries and properties is a primary concern of the on-site assessment process.

Assessment Pricing:

⦁ Cost will depend on site location(s), travel expenses, size of church congregation and access to available information during the discovery process
⦁ On-site inspection and observations typically encompasses a minimum of two worship services, various youth activities, interviews with church staff members, and church leadership members
⦁ Typical off-site completion of Church Assessment will be between 60-80 hours
⦁ Two week minimum turnaround for completed report
⦁ Report will be presented by both an electronically enhanced disk and 3-ring binder for quick reference upon delivery
⦁ Suggestions, recommendations and observations will be reported to the church leadership upon completion of the report
