THE CHURCH TODAY IS THE LAST BASTION OF MORALITY AND FAITH IN OUR CULTURE. BY NOT ASSESSING LIABILITY RISK, AND COMMUNICATING SUCH RISK POTENTIAL TO THE FELLOWSHIP, THOSE FULFILLING MINISTERIAL DUTIES HAVE FAILED TO RECOGNIZE A ‘MISSING MINISTRY’ OPPORTUNITY.
A recent survey discovered 87% of church members expected the leadership staff of their church to not only inform them of pending dangers but also communicate to the fellowship how to eliminate those risks that would harm their ministry.
SEMINARY GRADUATES HAVE DISCOVERED THEY ARE WELL PREPARED FOR THE CHURCH SIDE OF THE MINISTRY, BUT NOT THE BUSINESS SIDE OF THE CHURCH. LIABILITY TRAINING AND EDUCATION ARE ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS IN BUILDING A SAFE HAVEN.
The Covenant Center is designed to teach and prepare those called into the ministry to face the unexpected demands of being an employer while serving the local church. There is a pressing need to establish a training, educational, and research concept to train ministry leaders and volunteers to recognize and correct liability deficiencies.
TO SUCCESSFULLY PROPAGATE ORDER, AND HARMONY, WITHIN THE BUSINESS SIDE OF MINISTRY TODAY’S CHURCH MUST DEVELOP AND ADHERE TO COMMUNICATE APPLICABLE CHURCH POLICIES AND PROCEDURES WITHIN THE FELLOWSHIP.
Today’s church leadership are working under a false assumption conflict can be avoided by not preparing for, or addressing, potentially harmful liabilities within the fellowship.
